The words Scordle uses for scores, streaks and competitions, in one place.
Terms
- Albatross
- Three or more under par. In Wordle, a first-guess solve.
- Birdie
- One under par. In Wordle, a 3.
- Blur my nickname
- A setting that hides your name on any image or video a club-mate shares.
- Bogey
- One over par. In Wordle, a 5.
- Club
- A private group of people you know, joined only by invite link. Up to 30 members.
- Competition
- A contest inside a club, over the games and dates you choose. How competitions score
- Double bogey
- Two over par. In Wordle, a 6.
- Eagle
- Two under par. In Wordle, a 2.
- Grace day
- A missed day that doesn't break your streak: 1 every 30 days free, 1 every 7 for subscribers. Grace days explained
- Level
- The name for your rating: Fresh, Developing, Solid, Capable, Skilled, Expert or Unstoppable.
- Par
- A solid, ordinary result for a game, like 4 guesses in Wordle. Every other score is named by how far it is from par. Why those par values?
- Rating
- A slow-moving number from 0 to 1,000 that follows how you score against par. 500 is par. Your rating explained
- Recovery code
- 12 words that restore your account if you lose every device. Keep it safe
- Score race
- A competition's running totals as an animated race, shareable as a video.
- Scoring method
- How a competition is won: Daily Wins, Running Total, Weekly Total or Weekly Wins.
- Smart Streak
- Days in a row at a level or better, such as Par or better. Smart Streaks explained
- Standard streak
- Days played in a row, whatever the score.
- Tie-breaker
- How a level day or week is settled: Head to head, Weekend playoff, Shared win, Total strokes or Draw.
- Triple bogey
- Three or more over par, on games long enough to allow it.
- Wipeout
- A failed game: the puzzle wasn't solved.
